Archival Douglas Hannant SS 2001 Crinkled Silk Runway Set
$485
Known for dressing the conservative Park Avenue elite, this rare collection marked a brief, brilliant moment where Hannant leaned into fluid, provocative sensuality—and we are entirely obsessed Spring/Summer 2001 catches him in a looser register: fluid, sensual, and much less interested in behaving. The silhouette walked the runway in a different colorway. This is the rust-burgundy version, cut in featherweight crinkled silk with an earthy mineral print that catches light without turning shiny. The top is a plunging backless halter, labeled size 2, with extra-long ties that can wrap the waist. The trouser is labeled size 4, wide through the leg, partially lined through the upper body, and finished with the same soft graphic surface. Together, they give the full editorial read. Separately, they are far more useful than a runway reference has any right to be. Wear the set with a low heel and nothing fussy. Add a jacket only if the room requires plausible deniability.
